Despatch of the Service Folder, incl. Technical Guidelines:
The service folder will be sent to you after the stand-planning phase, which is expected to have been completed in the autumn / winter of 2005.
Setting up: The official setting-up phase begins at 7 a.m. on 18 April 2006 and ends at 6 p.m. on 22 April 2006. During this time, you can work 'around the clock', i.e., 24 hours a day. Please note that, on the last setting-up day, we have to begin laying the carpeting at 3 p.m. and that the hall aisles must be cleared and free by this time. Overnight, we have to lay around 90.000 square metres of carpeting throughout the entire Exhibition Centre and hope you will understand that, for this reason, we have no choice but to insist the aisles are clear by the time given. Naturally, you can continue to decorate your stand within the limits of your exhibition space. Please inform the forwarding agent for your hall in good time so that empty packaging can be removed from the hall by 3 p.m. If you need more time for setting up, i.e., beforehand, you can apply for advance setting-up time (free of charge) using the appropriate form from the Service Folder. Advance setting up begins on 12 April 2006 and ends on 17 April 2006. The halls concerned will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight. Should you have any questions about advance setting up, please contact Carolin Kober on telephone no. +49 69 7575-5850 or by e-mail at carolin.kober@messefrankfurt.com. Dismantling: It is not possible to extend the setting-up period. Stand height: From a height of 2.50 m, all sides of the stand facing neighbouring stands must be finished in a neutral colour and have a smooth surface. The top of the lighting / advertising, etc., may not be any higher than the maximum permitted height of the stand, which is specific to the individual exhibition halls and can be seen from the attached table. Stands with open sides: In the case of stands hired with one or more sides open, the open sides should be designed so that at least 50 % of the side is open. Stands hired as being open on one or more sides may not be fully enclosed. Clear stand width in the case of stands open on one or two sides: In the case of stands open on one or two sides, 6 cm (= the thickness of the stand dividing walls) per wall must be deducted from the confirmed stand width in order to obtain the clear stand width. Two-storey stands: Two-storey stands are permitted in certain exhibition halls (see hall heights). To obtain permission for such constructions, suitable plans in duplicate, including certified static calculations, must be submitted to Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG, Event Engineering Dept., at least 8 weeks before the event begins. For further details, please see the General Terms of Business (see stand registration) and the Technical Guidelines (sent to you with the Service Folder). Hall pillars on the stand: Hall pillars are shown on the hall plan as black rectangles and as circles in the stand sketch. The pillars are covered with white-coated chipboard panels up to a height of 3.0 m (except Hall 4.0 where the panels are 7.00 m high and Hall 3 which has no panels on the pillars). The panels my be neither subject to a load nor damaged. Please see the stand sketch for the exact dimensions and the position of the pillar(s). The dimensions relate to the pillar panels. Stands with enclosed ceilings: Enclosed ceilings (covering more than 50% of the ceiling space) must be approved in advance and may only be installed in conjunction with a sprinkler system (see Service Folder, Technical Guidelines, para. 4.4.2). The sprinkler system will be installed by Messe Frankfurt and is subject to an extra charge. Contacts Event engineering Planning approval Stand construction Suspensions Electrical connections Water / compressed air It is essential that you use a sawdust suction device for all sawing that has to be carried out as part of your stand setting-up work in the hall. Should you begin sawing without a suction device, you will have to interrupt the work until a device of this kind has been installed. Carpeting in the hall aisles For the event, we lay coloured carpeting covering the entire area of all halls. Advertising outside the stand: Exhibitors are not allowed to carry out any advertising activities, e.g., distributing flyers, conducting polls, attaching advertising materials, etc., outside of the exhibition space hired (see General Terms of Business, section 1.13). Please note, however, that Messe Frankfurt Medien & Service GmbH is at your disposal for certain forms of advertising, telephone +49 69 7575-6438 / -6831 / -6832 / -6833. Events at the Exhibition Centre after the fair closes: Events of all kind at the Exhibition Centre and on the exhibition stands after the close of the fair (6 p.m.) require the prior approval of Messe Frankfurt and are subject to special rules and regulations. In the case of questions and to apply to hold an event, please contact Ms. Jana Hößelbarth on telephone no. +49 69 7575-65 99 or send an e-mail to: jana.hoesselbarth@messefrankfurt.com. | ||
