Our company

Martini Illuminazione Group consists of the companies Martini S.p.A.(established in 1971 at Concordia sulla Secchia in the Modena district), Sames S.p.A. (bought in 1995 and moved to the same site as the Moncalieri (TO) manufacturing premises) and Sothis (which manufactures STRASS® crystal lamps and became part of the group in 2006).

Martini S.p.A. production units, employing around 170 people, now cover an area of approximately 21,500 square metres. The company also benefi ts from the manufacturing and quality-related experience of Martini Timoteo, founded in 1925 by the father of the current chairman.

In the last 15 years the company has concentrated on the architectural, commercial, residential and urban lighting sectors, developing an extensive range of professional lighting fixtures, most of which have been designed by the many architects who work in constant and close collaboration with the company.
This market required a complete transformation of the company, from a manufacturing point of view as well as from a technical point of view, through the creation of technical offi ces and laboratories as well as special research and development and industrial design departments.
This application-led environment is supported by the general monitoring of quality and by the consistant performance levels guaranteed by ISO 9001 certifi cation, which means special attention is dedicated to the quality of the products when they are tested by the in-house laboratory.

The fixtures available are mostly designed for the professional market, for example:
General lighting for offi ces and banks;
Commercial lighting (shops, display windows, shopping centres);
Lighting for museums and cultural areas;
Architectural lighting (accent and atmospheric lighting);
Residential and urban lighting (indoors and outdoors);
Lighting for the hotel industry.

Martini S.p.A. is structured so that it offers a series of services aimed at authorised distributors and in particular at the design industry, through lighting technology consultancy which uses extremely professional programs to view the rendering for the spaces involved or to research made-to-measure products as required by a project, i.e. non-standard solutions created on the instruction of the designers.

Martini S.p.A. operates through a branched sales structure, which consists mostly of one-firm agents for every region of Italy, and a branched sales network which extends all over the world.
