Luminale 10 Biennale Lighting Culture FrankfurtRheinMain April 11 till 16, 2010 More than 100,000 visitors from all over the world came to see more than 220 illuminations and over 180 events, covering every aspect of lighting design, the art of light, and urbanism in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. In the Rhine Valley it will be possible to see some of the illuminations. Luminale accompanies Light+Building, the leading international trade fair at the Frankfurt Fair & Exhibition Centre.

Call for Projects! The next Luminale comes faster than one thinks. Up to the 24th October, 2009 (deadline) projects can be announced from now for Luminale 2010. 100 Luminale projects are searched for the next edition of Luminale which show a variety and wealth of ideas in dealing with light. Intelligence and efficiency are asked for more than ever. Better light instead of more light. Architects, designers, media creators, artists are invited to suggest projects.

Exhibitors at Light+Building will be demonstrating the effectiveness of their products in building illuminations, light and sound installations, in squares, in harbours, parks and museums. Lighting designers and lighting artists will be transforming cityscapes into light laboratories. Bus lines will link these night-time showplaces.
