General Terms and Conditions for Online Ticketing (Trade Visitors)

The following applies to online ticketing for trade visitors (ordering of admission tickets electronically):

1. General
All the orders shall be accepted and fulfilled subject to our terms and conditions only. No different terms stipulated by the purchaser shall apply. The purchaser recognises these terms and conditions by placing his order, even if his order contains different terms of purchase. Additional agreements shall only be legally binding if we have confirmed them in writing. Special rulings do not make the remaining terms and conditions ineffective. Purchase of admission tickets for resale is not permitted.

2. Offers and prices
Offers and prices are always without commitment. Prices cease to apply when a new price list is issued. Our prices include value-added tax at the current rate.

3. Order confirmation and invoicing
When your order is received, you will be sent order confirmation by email, together with a link for the printing of your online ticket on your own computer. If there is no separate confirmation of an order, invoices are considered to be order confirmation. No return or reimbursement of admission tickets is possible; only if an event is cancelled will there be any reimbursement of the nominal value of an admission ticket.

Invoices are prepared by Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG in the name and for the account of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, 60327 Frankfurt, VAT ID: DE 814105739. The invoice will be sent as a PDF file with a qualified electronic signature and a link for verification.

By ordering tickets online, the user of the online ticketing service agrees to the invoices being issued and dispatched electronically. He has no claim to issue of a paper invoice.

We hereby expressly emphasise that entrepreneurs have obligations to retain and file documents received electronically, these obligations being under the German Fiscal Code, the German Value-Added Tax Act (UStG), the principles of due computer-aided bookkeeping systems (GoBS) and the principles of data access and verifiability of digital documents (GDPdU). The following must be retained and filed: the email sent by Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG with the attached PDF invoice file and qualified electronic signature, together with the test report verifying the qualified electronic signature.

Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG is not liable for errors and damage occurring as a result of improper handling by the invoice recipient or inadequate technical equipment of the same in association with the invoices sent to him electronically.

Neither is Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG liable in any way for invoices not recognised by the inland revenue office, unless such failure to recognise the same is for reasons for which Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG is responsible.

Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG acts in the name and for the account of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.

4. Terms of payment
Online tickets will be paid by credit card when they are ordered.

5. Privacy policy
The data required for the business transaction will be stored and passed on to associated companies for further handling of the order if necessary. All personal data will be treated as confidential. Personal data will only be used in the course of the necessary processing of an internet application if no separate notices to the contrary are included in such an application.

6. Liability
Damages claims against Messe Frankfurt GmbH and its subsidiaries Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co.KG and Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH relating to compensation for financial losses will be limited to cases of intent or gross negligence.

Links included on the website may lead to internet providers with content outside the responsibility of Messe Frankfurt. These links are identifiable as such from the context or are marked separately. Messe Frankfurt has no influence on the content provided therein neither does it assume responsibility for the same by referring to it. In particular, Messe Frankfurt expressly disclaims the statements contained therein. Responsibility can only be established if Messe Frankfurt is aware of legal offences and it is technically possible and reasonable for Messe Frankfurt to prevent use of the same (Section 8 para. 2 German Teleservices Act [TDG]). To the extent that can be reasonably expected, Messe Frankfurt has inspected outside content for possible legal offences. There were no obvious infringements of copyright, trademark or personality rights or breaches of competition law on the third-party websites and no such infringements or breaches are known to us. Neither do we have any knowledge of any circumstances there that would be considered a criminal offence. Only the provider of such websites and not the party merely referring to the same through links is liable for their content and for any damages incurred by use or failure to use information offered in this way. This restriction also applies to outside entries in the guest books, discussion forums and mailing lists set up by Messe Frankfurt.

Only the provisions of German law shall apply.
