Young people will also be demonstrating their skills at Light+Building when the European Competition of Young Electricians (CYE) is held from 7 to 9 April.
On these three days, the winners of the preceding national competitions will compete with each other in the 'competition arena' in Galleria 1 and solve practical and theoretical problems.
Take advantage of this opportunity to discover and find out about the different working methods, the materials and tools used and the technical standards to be observed by participants from up to 15 different nations.
EU Vice President and Commissar, Günter Verheugen, has agreed to be patron of the competition. The organisers are the European Association of the Electrical Installation Trade (Association européenne des entreprises de l’installation électrique – AIE) and the General Association of the German Electrical and Information Technology Trade (Zentralverband der Deutschen Elektro- und Informationstechnischen Handwerke – ZVEH).
At the invitation of the City of Frankfurt, the awards ceremony will be held in the 'Kaisersaal' hall of Frankfurt Town Hall (Römer) on 9 April 2008.
