Date: 7 - 9 April 2008 Venue: Congress Center Messe Frankfurt (CMF), Frankfurt am Main, Germany Organiser: Messe Frankfurt in co-operation with the Professional Lighting Designers' Association (PLDA), Gütersloh together with the ZVEI, the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (Lighting Division), Frankfurt am Main and the Landscape Research, Development & Construction Society (FLL - Forschungsgesellschaft Landschaftsentwicklung Landschaftsbau e.V.), Bonn. “Professional solutions by Professional Lighting Designers” On the occasion of the Light+Building – International Trade Fair or Architecture and Technology - in Frankfurt am Main from 6 -11 April 2008 the Professional Lighting Designers’ Association, PLDA, Guetersloh will be staging their 8th international lighting conference Light Focus 2008 as the Lighting section of the Building Performance Congress together with the ZVEI, the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (Lighting Division), Frankfurt am Main and the Landscape Research, Development & Construction Society (FLL - Forschungsgesellschaft Landschaftsentwicklung Landschaftsbau e.V.), Bonn. All Light Focus 2008 papers contain essential facts and important information for Professional Lighting Designers and all those involved in lighting projects. Speakers will discuss current and future light source applications, and address the topic of effective daylighting solutions and sustainability. Attendees will also be presented with case studies of exemplary lighting design projects where sensitivity and creativity play a major role in the success of the ambience. The quality of shadow and of chromatic light will be discussed, and hard facts about the Lighting Design profession and the strategic way forward will be presented. Approval: The lectures are also approved as continuing professional events by the Chamber of Engineers of the German State of Hesse and by the Chamber of Engineers of the German State of Saarland and the Chamber of Engineers of the German State of Baden-Württemberg. The papers will be presented in English or German with simultaneous translation. |
