This intuitive plug-and-play IoT building management system provides a simple and interoperable IoT solution that allows you to control and monitor buildings of any size and connects BMS sensors and devices with third-party applications. The Wattsense Edge device combines PLC functionality with a gateway and connects both wired and wireless devices used in building automation.

The integrated protocol converter standardises more than 10 field communication protocols, including Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, BACnet IP, BACnet IP Server, M-Bus, LON FT10, LON IP-852, LPB - Local Process Bus, Diematic, KNX S/LTE. Not only can telemetry data be collected, but control commands can also be sent back to the connected devices. The gateway is equipped with an integrated radio module and various connections for Ethernet, RS485, LoRaWAN, KNX, M-BUS and other standards.  The bridge maintains contact with the outside world either wired via Ethernet or mobile radio.

With the wattsense hardware, data can either be sent to a cloud server via RESTful API or MQTT (connection via LAN or 4G, SIM card included) or converted locally to BACnet IP or Modbus IP. 
The configuration of the wattsense devices, the coupling of the devices and the selection of the properties are carried out remotely on the wattsense web platform (configuration console). Various graduated subscription services (software subscriptions) are available here.

With a single hardware, the wattsense solution can be used in two versions, depending on your needs and use cases: The Tower (remote) and the Bridge (local).
