Drive Hub
Description
Drive Hub is an award-winning, revolutionary centralized modular driver system for LED lighting. Drive Hub is offers easy access maintenance, zero failure 'always on' backup feature and complete management of every luminaire. With a power efficiency of over 96%, Drive Hub reduces energy usage and running costs compared to multiple driver systems; it is designed to be more reliable, more efficient and easier to maintain and install than lighting systems that rely on local drivers for each luminaire.
The Drive Hub system is fully modular with a wide range of available drive cards and power supplies, meaning that it can be easily customized in order to meet any particular venue’s requirements. Capable of delivering up to 12kW of power to luminaires at distances of 100m+, with card options suitable for CC fixtures and CV options up to 10A, it offers channel dimmable lighting from a central location to luminaires across an entire venue.
Reliability
With Drive Hub, lights stay on even if a power supply fails thanks to its ability to utilize redundant power supplies. Drive Hub also actively manages heat and air flow as needed, keeping the system cool and running efficiently.
Maintenance
All of the components can be changed easily and safely with minimal tools, and the system will continue to run without interruption. Drive Hub can notify a maintenance team by email if anything irregular occurs within the system.
Energy and Reporting
Drive Hub's highly efficient power supplies (>96% with near unity power factor) reduce energy usage and running costs compared to multiple driver systems, and the power supplies are only ever switched on when they are needed. Drive Hub provides full system reporting, energy usage and live system health through the Drive Hub network interface.
IPM
IPM technology allows for the control of fixtures via legacy mains cabling by encoding control information onto the 48V feed. This is especially useful for heritage projects, and reusing existing cabling cuts down installation costs. IPM2 builds on this by enabling an entire universe of DMX to be encoded onto a mains cable along with a low-voltage supply.
Dimming
Drive Hub delivers a smooth dimming, step-free down to 0%. For broadcast and filming, the PWM frequency can be adjusted up to 19.2kHz, meaning that any potential flicker can be dialed out with ease.
