SN 9024.1

SN 9024.1

INOTEC Sicherheitstechnik GmbH

Description

The new SN 9024

To integrate safety lighting as discreetly as possible into the ceiling mirror, the SN 9024 was developed many years ago. However, the lighting technology has aged, and there was a lack of pass-through wiring capability for easy installation. Therefore, we have redeveloped both the luminaire and the operating device.

The luminaire is installed in a ceiling cutout with a diameter of only 38 mm. Thanks to the space-saving electronics of the 24V LED drivers for the decentralized emergency lighting device CLS, it was possible to develop an operating device that also fits through this small ceiling cutout. Thus, no additional access panel in the ceiling is required.

Proven luminaire refurbished

To make the luminaire even more inconspicuous and efficient, the design and technology of the luminaire have been completely overhauled. The new SN 9024.1 will be available with a round (Ø 45 mm) and square bezel (45 mm x 45 mm). The bezel height has been reduced from 8 to 2 mm. This makes the new SN 9024.1 even more discreet than its predecessor. The installation dimension remains only Ø 38 mm. The bezel and the heat sink are made of high-quality aluminum die-casting, enabling efficient heat management for the LED light source.

Secondary optics for every application

The new SN 9024.1 will be available with three different secondary optics in the future. Thanks to the powerful LED and various secondary optics optimized for specific applications, the LED light source consumes less than 1 W.

  • Asymmetric optics for illuminating escape routes

  • Symmetric optics for illuminating areas

  • Spot optics for highlighting specific locations

Optimized driver and a wide range of colors

The LED driver has also been revised in this process. The previous 24V LED driver in a metal housing is replaced by an ILD in a plastic housing. The shape of the housing allows for installation of the power supply unit in ceilings with very little space between the rough and suspended ceilings. Moreover, the housing provides ample room for pass-through wiring, eliminating the need for separate junction boxes.

The new SN 9024.1 is the ideal solution for discreetly integrating safety lighting into the ceiling. To better adapt the luminaire to local conditions, the housing can be painted in any desired RAL color.

SN/A 6201

Combined luminaire for general and emergency lighting

The SN/A 6201 is a modern take on a combined outdoor luminaire. The design is based on an INOTEC classic – the SN 6204. Thanks to the robust trapezoidal luminaire housing and the high IP65 protection rating, it is ideal for wall mounting outdoors.

Made of die-cast aluminium, the SN/A 6201 has four cable entries for feed-through-wiring for general and emergency lighting and is available in the light colours 3000K and 4000K.

Redundancy for real safety

Outdoors, switched safety luminaires are often used as general lighting at the same time. Or general lighting luminaires are equipped with a monitoring module in order to serve as a safety luminaire at the same time. In both cases, the protection goal is not achieved. If the ballast or the light source fails in one of the luminaires, neither the general lighting nor the safety lighting will function.

Combined luminaires are a better solution. In these luminaires, the technology of two luminaires is combined in one housing. Two LED drivers, one for the general lighting and one for the safety lighting, as well as a light source with two separate LED circuits provide the required redundancy.

Directed light – where it is needed

Many night-active insects orientate themselves to moonlight. Artificial light is many times brighter than moonlight and attracts numerous insects, especially if it is undirected light. Many animals are the victims of this light trap. Due to their disorientation, they are eaten, die by exhaustion or are unable to reproduce.

The wall luminaire SN/A 6201 has a downward light emission. This means that the light ends up in the places where it is needed. This not only saves energy, but also protects night-active animals and insects.

Combined general lighting and emergency lighting

In emergency lighting, EN 1838 requires a minimum illuminance of 1 lux on the centre line for escape routes. In general lighting, on the other hand, a medium illuminance is planned. For walkways, this depends on the standards applied. According to EN 13201, a mean illuminance (Em) of 5 lux is used in most cases. In rare cases, 10 lux may be required. For outdoor staircases, 15 lux is generally planned. These requirements for general and safety lighting can be combined in one luminaire with SN/A 6201.

Housing with high protection class

The SN/A 6201 is made of high-quality die-cast aluminium. The wall luminaire has a high protection rating of IP65 and has been developed for outdoor use. The high quality of the materials used guarantees a long service life.

FL 2820 TFT

Dynamic, compliant, and customizable pictograms

These features are just a few highlights of the new luminaire generation. The FL 2820 TFT, with its TFT display, offers the capability to display various pictograms, images, or even animations. This, for the first time, allows for dynamic emergency route guidance with absolutely compliant pictograms.

Flexible pictograms – tailored to customer preferences

Thanks to the use of TFT technology, a wide range of pictograms can be displayed. Common rescue and fire safety signs can be selected from a library or customized pictogram designs can be implemented using free software.

This allows the luminaires to, for example, designate meeting rooms and, in case of an emergency, indicate an alternative escape route or provide directional guidance for the primary escape route. Adapting the pictograms later due to changes in regulations or usage is cost-effective and achievable without the need for mechanical pictogram replacement.

Monitoring

Like all INOTEC luminaires, the FL 2820 includes standard monitoring of all functions. With this luminaire, in addition to monitoring the LED backlight, the displayed image on the TFT display is also supervised. If the pictogram does not match the predefined design, it is immediately reported to the FUSION system. INOTEC's developed and patented continuous image monitoring is unique and represents an innovation in safety lighting.

Perfect pictograms – visible from any angle

Previously, creating dynamic pictograms often involved compromises in visibility. However, thanks to the use of the TFT display, these shortcomings are no longer an issue. The pictograms have a luminance of 800cd/m². Unlike conventional displays, the FL 2820 TFT display remains excellent in visibility even at very acute viewing angles.
