Instrument Systems is the first provider worldwide to develop UV-LED calibration standards that can be traceably calibrated to the radiant flux. The UV-LED calibration standards of the ACS series are available for the typical peak wavelengths of 280 nm (UVC), 305 nm (UVB) and 365 nm (UVA). The approved ACS series based on LEDs has thus been expanded from the visible and infrared range to deep into the ultraviolet range. The traceability of the radiant flux has been achieved through the very precise calibration of the spectrometer coupling optics to the irradiance and integrative measurement with a goniophotometer. The extremely low measurement uncertainties (k = 2) of only 4.5% in UVC, 3.5% in UVB and 2% in UVA are comparatively low as in the visible range, which is less problematic. UV-LED calibration standards can be used for monitoring and the absolute calibration of special UV measurement equipment such as the integrating spheres of the ISP-UV series.

Instrument Systems developed a complete family of integrating spheres in the ISP Series with the objective of marketing a broad spectrum of sizes and functionalities.

Integrating spheres with diameters from 75 mm to 2 m therefore allow the characterization of a wide range of different light sources with a very high level of precision.

All integrating spheres from Instrument Systems are in conformity with the guidelines CIE 127:2007 and IES LM-79-08 in respect of concept, construction and functionality. Integrating spheres with an internal diameter greater than 500 mm can be conveniently opened using a swivel or slide mechanism. The test specimen can be positioned in the center of the sphere using sample tables or lamp posts in order to measure the luminous flux in the 4π configuration.

Instrument Systems offers complete measurement solutions for UV-A, -B and -C radiation starting from 200 nm. The operation of the well-proven Instrument Systems spectroradiometers, e.g. CAS series, with integrating spheres made from PTFE facilitate high sensitivity measurements of UV radiant flux.

All Instrument Systems UV measurement solutions with PTFE integrating spheres are delivered with a PTB traceable calibration.

The LumiCam series imaging colorimeters capture the luminance and color distributions of screens or multifunction displays within seconds. At the same time, the instruments analyse complex image content. The LumiCam Software supports the various areas of application with specific functions that allow a wide range of different measuring tasks to be carried out fast.

The latest LumiCam B generation is thus the ideal instrument for easy and reliable measurement of displays and control elements, e.g. in the automotive interior or aviation sector. It is equally suitable for tests in the laboratory and in quality assurance for small batch production.

The 5 MP resolution of the LumiCam 2400B camera sensor permits spatially resolved 2D acquisition of all colorimetric and photometric data. The LumiCam 4000B even offers a 12 MP resolution. The new lenses with motorized apertures and focus make for simple operation and are available in various different focal lengths.

The goniophotometers from Instrument Systems allow angle-dependent optical parameters of LED and SSL products to be comprehensively analyzed. This covers the entire value chain from single packaged LEDs, through LED modules and light engines to large SSL lamps and luminaires.

LEDGON 100

The LEDGON goniophotometer from Instrument Systems determines the spatial radiation pattern of LEDs and small LED modules. Measurement is made over the whole forward hemisphere of an emitting LED and even for narrow emission angle LEDs. In combination with the CAS 140CT spectroradiometer, additional spectral parameters, such as the angle dependence of color coordinates or color temperature, can also be measured.

LGS 650

The LGS 650 goniophotometer was developed for the analysis of angle-dependent spatial radiation properties and offers a cost effective alternative to the LGS 1000. The LGS 650 is compliant with all relevant specifications in conformity with CIE, DIN and IES standards. The probes may have a diameter up to max. 1300 mm and a maximum weight of 10 kg. At Light + Building 2024, the LGS 650 will be presented at the CSA Group booth: Hall 8.0 G80.

LGS 1000

The compact LGS 1000 goniophotometer system by Instrument Systems guarantees precise determination of the spatial radiation characteristics of Solid State Lighting (SSL) products as well as lamps and luminaires. In addition, energy efficiency can be tested and evaluated in accordance with the European Ecodesign Directive for energy-related products. The newly developed correction of the burning position is a key upgrade for measurement in conformance with the latest international standard CIE S 025 and its European pendant EN 13032-4, in force since August 2015.

CAS 140D - The new reference for spectral measurement

At Light+Building, Instrument Systems is showcasing its latest CAS 140D IR spectroradiometer for measurements in the infrared range. It features the proven high measurement accuracy and reliability of the CAS140D series, recognized all over the world as a reference for wavelengths from 780 – 1700 nm. Compared to its predecessor model, the new CAS 140D IR offers significantly improved performance in signal sensitivity, stray light suppression and electronics.

CAS 140CT-HR - The high resolution array spectroradiometer

The high resolution CAS 140CT-HR is based on Instrument Systems’ high-end array spectrometer CAS 140CT, a product line that has achieved extraordinary success around the world. The CAS 140CT-HR is particularly designed for the measurement of narrow band emitters, e.g. laser diodes. Therefore, the spectroradiometers combine the demands of high spectral resolution and short testing times for sophisticated measurement tasks in production and laboratory environments.

CAS 125 – Fast spectrometer with unique recipe mode

For the CAS 125 spectroradiometer, Instrument Systems decided to equip the device with a CMOS sensor that is linked to a specially developed electronic readout circuit. This combination enables very low measurement times of 0.01 milliseconds while maintaining high long-term stability and accuracy. By parameterization of successive measurements, the novel CAS 125 „Recipe Mode“ allows time-optimized control of the spectroradiometer as well as of the overall measurement system. This eliminates the time-consuming initializing of each subsequent stage of the measurement process.
