About us

With NeoMesh you can build a network of wireless sensors and actuators in your building, without worrying about connectivity. By adding our communication module to your device, or – using our protocol in your own microcontroller – these devices will become connected to each other and to your cloud or building management system.

NeoMesh is optimized for reliability, scalability and low power operation.

Low power: Typical lifetime of a device operating on two AA batteries is 7 years. All devices are capable of receiving commands from the network, so they can also be low power actuators – e.g. eTRVs.

Scalability: We can have 65000 devices in the same network. If a device is too far away from the gateway, then that device will route or receive commands from other battery powered devices. Routing in the network is organized by the devices themselves, so large networks do not add complexity to the routing. This means that any building, whatever size, can be covered by devices in the same network. All running on batteries. No repeaters. No IP bus needed.

Reliability: As all devices are connected in a mesh there will always be a route from a device to the gateway, or vice versa. If a device disappears for some reason, then the network is self-healing and commands are routed other ways. There are no critical devices which are mission critical. In addition, we recommend using 868/915 MHz instead of 2.4 GHz due to longer range and less congestion and noise.

Typical application is upgrade of large industrial/commercial/multi-family buildings to become smart buildings, without expensive installation of a wired building control bus. Thus, sensors measuring temperature, humidity, CO2, room occupancy and fire detection can easily be installed alongside control devices such as thermostats and eTRV, air dampeners and solar blinds.

For companies making smart building solutions, this makes installation very easy:

Just on two wireless devices, and they will find each other. Turn on additional devices, and these will join the existing network. And as more and more nodes are added the network will increase in number of devices as well as the range covered by the network.  Just install and watch the network grow.  No need to worry about range to the gateway or spread factor and high power consumption. Our software tools will help you monitor the status of the network and detect weak spots.

With a minimum of installation time will even the largest building or other infrastructure be covered by the same network.

The protocol can in many cases replace Zigbee/Thread/LoRaWAN in devices, without need to change the hardware.

NeoMesh protocol stack is a 2nd generation wireless communication protocol stack enabling nodes (sensors, actuators etc.) to communicate with each other wirelessly and without setting up a separate, external wireless network.
