Thorn Lighting Ltd.

Description

Thorn’s HiPak high bay is a highly efficient one-for-one replacement for conventional industrial luminaires – and now with an efficiency of up to 181 lm/W, it promises a quicker payback than ever.

With a choice of three sizes and six lumen outputs up to 35,000 lm, HiPak is an ideal choice for point-for-point replacements on retrofit projects. Perfectly crafted optics and refractor accessories also mean HiPak is ideal for applications such as retail, where appearance and visual comfort are high priorities.

HiPak features a range of control options to enable even greater energy savings. HiPak offers both microwave and passive infrared sensors and of course, works seamlessly with our range of basicDIM Bluetooth® wireless control options. Quality is assured with a 100,000 hour lifetime (L80).

Luminaire spacing is maximised thanks to HiPak’s optics, resulting in exceptional light coverage, uniformity and simplified installation. Coupled with an optional integrated basicDIM Bluetooth wireless module, it’s also possible to wirelessly connect HiPak to each other or in groups.

Altis

Controlled light spill. Maximum power. Altis is a powerful, flexible and easy to install LED floodlight with up to 256,000 lumens.

For a wide range of sports and high column area lighting applications, Altis offers numerous CCT/CRI/TLCI (3000 K, 4000 K and 5700 K, CRI from 70 to 90+ and TLCI up to 90+) as well as colour changing configuration options (RGBW and Balanced White). In addition to flicker-free operation for HDTV broadcasting, it also provides mixed optics. Thanks to its tiltable LED modules, it enables installation design optimisation, with a minimum number of floodlights.

Altis is available in 1, 2 or 3-module versions, allowing for a variety of optical configurations and installation options – from horizontal for reduced obtrusive light (0 cd at 90°) to tiltable (+/–60°) for sports applications. Spill light control and a ULOR of 0 % were once best served with a 3-module version. However, a new 2-module version now can offer the same protection.

Different optics can be mixed in each module and the ability to tilt the floodlight allows the lighting design to be optimised. This delivers several benefits including fewer floodlights, perfect uniformity on the playing area and greatly reduced windage. Altis also benefits from a flexible and intuitive design, multi patented innovations, light that's just right for TV and flicker factor <1% as standard.
What's more - Altis is available in complete lighting management packages for wide-ranging professional and recreational sports applications - both indoors and outdoors, ensuring you choose the right control solution for your specific needs.

Graffiti

High performance spotlights – with optical precision, glare control, designed and manufactured in Germany.

Graffiti is an attractive, indoor luminaire range that has been designed to perform superbly in challenging retail applications, as well as in many other areas that spotlights are installed. Its 95 mm diameter body (available in a black or white finish) with integrated driver gives a sleek, minimalistic appearance. Graffiti can be mounted on either a 3-phase track or to Thorn’s own advanced and efficient Contus trunking system. Installation and repositioning (common in retail) of the spotlights is both quick and adaptable, ensuring items such as merchandise and signage are always lit optimally. Graffiti is available in two lumen packages (2800 lm and 3600 lm), two colour temperatures (3000 K and 4000 K) and three beam angles (Spot, Flood, and Wide Flood), all with high colour rendering as standard (CRI >90) to make objects look their best.

Low-glare Graffiti spotlights will enhance the look of items on display while maintaining comfort for customers and the workforce alike. Optional honeycomb louvre and protection glass accessories provide additional glare reduction and safeguard the reflector from fingerprints. A long 50,000-hour lifetime (L70) and an efficient LED engine make these luminaires ideal for lighting refurbishment projects as well as new buildings. Manufactured in Germany on an automated robotic assembly line, production speed and quality is assured while maintaining a low carbon footprint. The recycled aluminium spotlight body minimises the product’s environmental footprint and promotes future recyclability. Graffiti was developed with circular design principals in mind, with the ability to replace not only the luminaire’s driver but also the LED chip-on-board, when returned to Thorn for upgrade or maintenance.

So what are Graffiti’s highlights? It’s a durable refurbishment choice and a great accent lighting solution with flexible mounting, a minimalistic design with a small track footprint, precise controlled light, optimised light distributions and filtered light output.

Chalice

High performance downlights - efficient and durable for multiple applications, designed and manufactured in Germany.

Chalice delivers an adaptable, in-depth range that can meet a breadth of demanding downlighting needs, ensuring it is suitable for installation in numerous applications.

The downlights are available in three cut-out sizes (100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm), multiple lumen packages, and a choice of three reflector finishes (Satinbrite silver, Mirrorbrite silver, White). The core Chalice range has an impressive IP54 ingress protection from water, dust and dirt as standard with an optional ultrasonically welded polycarbonate cover that extends protection up to IP65. A long lifetime of 50,000 hours at L90 further guarantees durability. A high-ceiling model delivers 5000 lumens through an advanced custom optic, whilst two surface-mounted and suspendable variants complete the Chalice family, expanding interior and under canopy installation possibilities.

Designed and manufactured by Thorn in Lemgo, Germany, Chalice has been developed with circular design principals in mind, with the ability to replace not only the luminaire’s driver but the LED light engine itself. At its core, a recycled aluminium heatsink provides further optimal conditions for a prolonged lifetime as well as future recyclability.
What adds to this downlight’s special features? Expanded installation possibilities, options for emergency batteries, and on top of that – it’s the ideal refurbishment solution across multiple applications.
