Description

TMC produces low-voltage special and distribution VPI transformers with normal or reduced losses and according to customer specifications, up to 10MVA and with insulation class up to 1.1kV.

TMC designs, manufactures and test its machines according to all international standards: IEC, IEEE, CSA, UL, ANSI, NEMA, NRCan.

VPI transformers main feature:

aluminium or copper windings
class F or class H (180°C) insulation systems
compatibility with both indoor and outdoor installations

The most common cooling technologies are based on air, either natural or forced; and liquid, either direct or indirect, or with an AFWF heat exchanger.

In addition, the ability to withstand short-circuit forces is verified with FEA software.

Cast resin distribution transformers

TMC Transformers manufactures cast resin standard distribution transformers suitable for indoor and outdoor installation, both standard and reduced losses dry-type transformers, from 50kVA to 25MVA with system voltages up to 52kV.

We offer both aluminium and copper-wound solutions each available with class F or class F insulation systems.

TMC cast resin distribution transformers are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with all national and international standards, in order to offer long term reliability and minimum maintenance.

The ability to withstand short circuit forces is checked with FEA (finite elements analysis) software.

Cast resin special transformers

At TMC we use our vast experience and expertise to work with our customers to develop specialist solutions, designed specifically to suit their requirements. We produce cast resin special transformers up to a power rating of 25MVA at a system voltage of 52kV for a wide variety of applications, across a multitude of sectors.

TMC draws on its considerable know-how to assess the ability of products to withstand short-circuit forces (FEA analysis) and manage:

cooling - not only with natural or forced air, but also with direct or indirect water
installations in particularly polluted outdoor environments by studying and developing suitable solutions
the combination of epoxy resin and foil winding ensures the ultimate in dielectric performance and short-circuit resistance
aluminium or copper winding
class F or class H insulation systems
air cooling channels included in the coil for better thermal efficiency at power ratings >5MVA
