The new Ixa luminaire family was created in 2022 in collaboration with Foster & Partners: inspired by the dynamic sculptures of Alexander Calder, the design follows the idea of "elegant balance" through precision engineering.

A spherical head that rotates freely through 360° separates the power supply from the mechanics. It is connected to the structure by a magnetic connection and can thus be conveniently orientated in all directions. In contrast to the table lamp, the wall and floor lamps combine spherical counterweights with multiple rotation points and can therefore be easily adjusted to different positions.

A larger version has now been added to the wall light, while the ceiling light version is another impressive addition to the family. An enlarged head compared to the previous versions has been recalibrated and rebalanced with the two arms, without the design losing any of its flexibility. Even in the XL version, the luminaire design remains an expression of a design that is both functional and environmentally conscious, in which materials and manufacturing processes are consistently selected on the basis of the lowest possible environmental impact. Aesthetically, Ixa XL proves to be just as sustainable: soft lines and the reduced, classic form make it a timelessly stylish object.
