The DoorBird D21DKH is the IP Video Door Station for multi-tenant residences and commercial buildings with up to 200 units. The door station provides safe, efficient, and cutting-edge access control. It combines elegant and timeless design with the most innovative IP technology in the field of door communication. The door intercom is made of brushed stainless steel and is designed, developed, and manufactured in Berlin, Germany.

The video door station is equipped with an illuminated LCD display that allows searching through the resident directory with up to 200 names. Via the keypad with 16 keys, PIN codes can be entered to call residents or grant access. The administrator can manage up to 200 PIN codes. Thanks to the integrated RFID reader, access control is also possible via key fobs. Residents can also open the door via the DoorBird app on their smartphones or tablets.

The DoorBird A1121 is a compact, IP-based multi-technology access control system that can be installed as a stand-alone solution. It enables secure access control in areas where the installation of an IP video door station is not possible or desired, e.g. at back and side doors, garages and underground garages, storage and packing rooms or bicycle and machine rooms. It can also control elevators. The keypad is illuminated, so the device can be installed in the unlit environment. Thanks to its compact shape, the device can be easily mounted on a door frame. The access control device is also ideal for creating one-time or temporary access codes for visitors.

The device is designed for indoor and outdoor installation. Besides the flush-mount and surface-mount version, a retrofit version is available for existing front panels. The front panel is made of solid 3 mm (0.12 in) brushed stainless steel. All buttons are backlit. The DoorBird A1121 can be connected to the network via WLAN or LAN cable. If connected using a network cable, the device can be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE). Should the Internet temporarily fail, all functions continue to operate within the local network.

Apart from the network connection and power supply, no further hardware is required. The software for the IP access control solution runs within the device. The DoorBird A1121 is equipped with two relays and has a configurable Wiegand output interface for integration into an existing access control or alarm system. Using HTTP(S) calls, the device can be integrated with third-party home and building automation systems. All settings can be configured remotely using the free DoorBird app or the web-based administration tool.

Individual schedules, validities and actions for each PIN code and RFID transponder can be defined at any time. By pairing the DoorBird IP Access Control Device with the DoorBird IP I/O Door Controller A1081, up to three additional gates, doors or elevators can be controlled in a tamperproof way – even if they are not located near the device. The integrated tamper sensor can detect that the device is being removed and, for example, send a push message as an alarm in real time.

The door intercom is made of premium brushed stainless steel and is designed, developed, and manufactured in Berlin, Germany. The fingerprint reader is especially designed for areas exposed to strong outdoor weather conditions, e.g. heat and cold, and does not lose its functionality.

The full-frame touch sensor is based on patented technology by Fingerprint Cards AB and meets high comfort and security standards compared to line-based sensors. The door intercom can store up to 50 fingerprints. The reader does not store any fingerprint images, but only one template per fingerprint in form of a mathematically calculated hash value. Biometric features are not transmitted to the DoorBird door station, the app or the cloud. Thus, the system meets the highest data protection and data security standards.

The fingerprint reader is fully integrated into the DoorBird software architecture and can be configured remotely at any time. Via app or web-based dashboard, the user can grant and withdraw access permissions, and define which event should follow when a certain finger is detected. For example, an internal or external relay can be triggered, or an HTTP(S) command can be carried out. To prevent manipulation attempts, the fingerprint scanner is temporarily locked after multiple unauthorized access attempts.
