Light + Building 2026 placed a strong focus on promoting emerging talent and provided young designers and students with a platform to present their ideas, build networks, and contribute fresh impulses to the industry.
Young Design
The Young Design area showcased innovative luminaires created by emerging designers at the beginning of their professional careers. Visionary one-off pieces and creative concepts were presented, offering new impulses for lighting design and highlighting the diversity and future potential of the field.
LiTG Campus Light – University Area
The LiTG Campus LIGHT served as a central meeting point for universities, students, and institutions within the lighting industry. Organised jointly by the German Society for Lighting Technology and Lighting Design (LiTG) and Messe Frankfurt, it provided a space for exchange on lighting education, research, and innovative projects.
As a platform for networking and talent development, the campus enabled students and young professionals to present their work, connect with industry representatives, and actively participate in lectures, discussions, and interactive formats. In doing so, it supported their entry into the professional lighting sector and fostered new ideas and collaborations.
