Neutral conductor in focus DFS NU and DHS NU/NUS: switching devices with mains monitoring
Description
A common cause of damage to electronic equipment in households, trades and industry is an interruption of the neutral conductor. This can lead to overvoltage, often destroying connected electronically controlled devices and in the worst case causing fires.
The solution: the new residual current circuit-breakers (DFS) and main switches (DHS) with the suffix NU protect modern electronics against overvoltages caused by phase shifts. Here, NU stands for mains monitoring.[AB1]
DFS 6 NU and DHS 6 NU monitor all line conductors and the neutral conductor on the supply side. If an interruption is detected, the device trips – reliably protecting, for example, routers, TVs, induction hobs, smart home devices or electronic machine controls.
The DHS 6 NUS provides extended protection. With an additional sensor, it monitors not only the mains conductors but also the neutral conductor bar within the distribution board – for comprehensive equipment protection.
[AB1]Hat in der englischen Variante vielleicht keinen Mehrwert und könnte man streichen.
