About us
Electrical engineering SCHABUS GmbH & Co. KG - more relaxed with safety!
30 years ago, as a Germany based manufacturer, we specialized in developing electrotechnical measuring sensors and alarm systems for use in home and security technologies.
We have plug-in products especially designed for the private users as well as well thought-out designed professional solutions for professionals; measurement and alarm technology that makes your life and the life of your customers safer and more comfortable.
---------------------------
For TV productions, trade shows, and the event sector, we developed an innovative “Light & Division” product spectrum, such as a system that easy adjusts the lighting in TV studios on stages via radio control or DMX.
-----------------------------
30 years of experience makes us a competent partner for trade, craft and commerce, because in addition to our own product range, we also manufacture electronic and electromechanical custom products, i.e. even small quantities of special solutions.
In addition to our signaling and sensor production, we also manufacture for well-known companies (i.g. Cannon, Schaltbau) cable assemblies like connection cables, device wiring, cable harnesses, data cables, assembled single strands and multicore connection cables.
---------------------------
Our two locations in upper Bavaria, Stephanskirchen and since 2010 Rohrdorf, enables us to guarantee high flexibility, cost-effective production, on-time delivery, and the assurance of our highest quality standards. “Made in Germany" - a reputation to which we also contribute through our work.
---------------------------
We are ISO certified since 2019, which confirms that we meet international standards in our quality assurance processes.
We are particularly proud of our pioneering work in the product area of exhaust air systems, which earned our owner Wolfgang Schabus the unofficial title of "Mister Exhaust Air". The SCHABUS exhaust air control system, which has been registered as a utility model since 2002, was developed in cooperation with TÜV-Süd of to fulfill the German Firing Ordinance and has been modified according to the latest requirements to become state of the art. Both cable- and radio- controlled exhaust controls have been tested in accordance with the DIN EN 60730 standard and thus therefore meets the maximum safety requirements. This is also certified by The German Institute for Building Technology this with the DIBt approval.
------------------------
The founding of our company and the development of our first products resulted from a precise market analysis and the right vision for our customer’s needs - we develop and produce home- and building security technology that is needed and for which we can determine a corresponding demand even before product development. Our particular strength is our flexibility, which allows us to respond to such developments exceptionally quickly.
Since our establishment in 1992, it has become part of our corporate culture to maintain close contact with the market, whether the customer is a professional or is private. This is the only way we can know the needs of our customers and therefore we are always able to come up with new, innovative products and applications. And it is exactly this corporate culture that makes us a long-term, reliable and consistent partner for specialized trade and local craftsmen and service providers.
The philosophy of "Laptop und Lederhose" sums it up quite well: on one hand, it stands for Bavaria as a high-tech location, i.e. for the highest quality in materials and workmanship and technical know-how that is always state of the art - and on the other hand, it stands for the Bavarian way of life, which also means, among other things, "mir packen's oan, mir finden da a Lösung" ... in other words, a very flexible, solution-oriented attitude.
------------------------
Our personal commitment is our recipe for success. Every day we take care of your individual requirements with competence and heart. Our trained sales and service team will is happy to support and answer your questions; or even develop new, suitable product solutions based on your needs.
-------------------------
Environmental protection and sustainability are more than just trendy marketing buzzwords for us:
Of course, we produce in compliance with the RoHS Directive, which regulates the use of environmentally harmful substances in a binding manner throughout the EU, and we stay below the permissible limits wherever possible. And furthermore, as a manufacturer, we are also bound by the WEEE EU Directive, which regulates the valid take-back and recycling of old equipment.
We are taking care of the return, as well as the disposal, of our products from collection points at no cost to our customers.
But more important, and the decisive difference, is again our company philosophy: we want to make life easier, better and safer for our customers.
For us, this also includes the sensitive and careful use of resources, materials and energy. In other words, we plan and design our products in such a way that even legacy series can be repaired in the event of wear or defects. This is in contrast to the frequently observed trend of "planned obsolescence" or the throw-away mentality of many large online retailer.
In summary, if one of our products is are no longer function as it should be, if a device or sensor is defective or worn out - then reach out to us. In many cases we will find a sustainable solution.
--------------------------------
Intensive customer contact has the highest priority for our service team - and as a company we also make sure that you as a customer can continue to obtain our products at a good, reasonable price-performance ratio, despite the current global economic situation.

Professional CO alarm system GX-C300
Carbon monoxide cannot be felt, seen or smelled .... but fortunately it can be measured.
This life-threatening and invisible gas is produced by any combustion in which there is not enough oxygen - which is a growing risk due to our increasingly well insulated buildings.
As you cozy up in front of the fireplace and relax, gazing into the warming flames, carbon monoxide can build up in the room. This carbon monoxide is also produced by other combustible materials, such as pellets, paper, cardboard or even gases such as butane, propane, methane and oil.
Then, if not well ventilated, we inhale this gas.
The problem is that our body does not recognize the carbon monoxide, but binds its molecules to the red blood cells like oxygen. But our cells need pure oxygen, they can't do anything with the carbon monoxide, unfortunately exhaling the CO doesn't work either and so we accumulate the carbon monoxide in our body - and have less and less free red blood cells to transport the vital oxygen into the cells. So we suffocate - even though we breathe.
That's why a CO detector is truly a life-saving investment in your safety.
Our GX-C300 is a professional carbon monoxide warning system for fixed installation with internal electro-chemical CO sensor that detects precise values from 0-330ppm CO concentration. The display of the precisely measured CO concentration in ppm is shown on the illuminated plain text display with powerful 32bit microcontroller. In case of alarm by the integrated, loud piezo, as well as flashing display and in case of technical faults detected by the device itself, a potential-free change-over relay switches in each case, e.g. to activate forced ventilation or to inform the building management system.
The gas warning system is factory set with warning levels and alarm delay times as in standard DIN EN 50291, but these can be changed according to your specifications. Please contact our technical support.
The internal electrochemical sensor has a lifetime of 6 to 10 years depending on the environmental conditions. The service of Elektrotechnik Schabus offers the exchange in the factory.

CO2 alarm traffic light "office
Not in the mood for office air?
In the hectic office routine, you often notice it too late - many different factors cause the proverbial "thick air".
Our oxygen supply continuously decreases and we become flabby and tired.
Fresh air means more oxygen - thus more well-being and more efficiency.
The CO2 traffic light "office" supports you to ventilate in time, to ventilate for a sufficient
long enough and thus to ventilate in a sensible, energy-saving way.
This way you will quickly feel fit again - and that is logically also healthier.
Green light for the working atmosphere
The CO2 traffic light "office" is not only available in white, but also in green or gray - or painted in your RAL color on request.
The enclosed wall bracket is mounted on a wall as far away as possible from the nearest window / door at a height of 1.8 - 2 meters and the power supply unit with its 2.3 meter long supply cable is plugged into a socket. After a warm-up phase of three minutes, the CO2 traffic light "office" is ready for operation.
Alternatively, you can order the stand and mount the traffic light on a horizontal surface - always clearly visible.
As soon as the CO2 traffic light "office" is yellow (from 1200 ppm) open a window and ventilate until the traffic light is green again.
Often airing is too short, too long or too often, which causes unnecessary heating or air conditioning costs.
At night, the LED lights dim automatically, which is why the "office" CO2 traffic light is particularly energy-saving.
especially low energy costs - due to the long-life LED lights with automatic night dimming

Refrigerant sensor GX-CFC
Checked ice cold -
If you want to know immediately and reliably whether gases are escaping from your plant, you need the appropriate sensors. The GX-CFC sensor can detect typical combustible gases such as methane, butane, propane and ethanol.
However, it is also fully functional down to an ambient temperature of -20°C, the monitored air should be as dry as possible (<40% rH).
This makes the GX-CFC (climate fluorocarbon) ideal for monitoring refrigerants, i.e. the detection of many fluorinated hydrocarbons of the R-group, its target gas is R-32.
Contact our technical support if you need to detect a HFC refrigerant that is not listed here.

Professional CO2 Alarm GX-D500P
Always this pressure ...
in the safe and proper handling of gas cylinders. Whether CO2 has escaped through your CO2 gas cylinder, e.g. for the water bubbler or at leaky fittings, you can measure comfortably with our GX-D500P.
Other areas of application are dry ice processing and storage, occupational safety, food refrigeration e.g. of meat and sausage products, beverage dispensing systems, greenhouses with CO2 fumigation and overall thermally demanding rooms with very hot, cold, humid or dusty air or in ventilation systems with drafts.
The GX-D500P is a carbon dioxide warning device with ppm-accurate measurement and display of CO2 concentration in tenths of a percent, as well as display and storage of many operating parameters on a plain text display. The NDIR infrared sensor with high lifetime is permanently monitored by two µControllers and provides precise results.
The room to be monitored is connected to the device via a silicone hose, and a fan wheel ensures accelerated diffusion of the CO2 to the internal CO2 sensor. At the same time, unfavorable temperatures in the outside hose section adapt to the ambient temperature of the warning device.
2 potential-free change-over relays switch in case of alarm (3%) and in case of technical faults detected by the device itself.
The warning concentrations have been set at 1.5% and 3.0% in accordance with the TRGS for CO2 from beverage dispensing systems, but can also be parameterized alternatively by Elektrotechnik Schabus in the factory at the customer's request.
The application of the GX-D500P is always technical, be it the monitoring of CO2 bottles or the processing of dry ice.

Water sensor SHT 5090 with 3 ball electrodes
With rubber boots through the puddles -.
that can sometimes even be fun. But please not at home.
That's why SCHABUS offers high-quality sensors - and of course the right water detectors.
Our latest development is the ball-electrode water sensor SHT 5090, which, due to its own weight of around 100 grams, lies flat on the floor without further installation. Ideal on floors that must not be drilled into.
Even if you place the sensor vertically in narrow angles - e.g. under the radiator, under dishwashers and washing machines or simply under the shower tray cavity - at least 2 contacts always touch the floor and reliably trigger the alarm on the water alarm system in the event of water penetration.
Completely without mounting or fixing the sensor!
