In the process of artistic search, a unique shape of the lamp was found, which was combined with laconic engineering solutions, thanks to which the floor lamp was devoid of visual noise and retained a laconic silhouette. Due to its standard height and the location of the LED cord at the top of the floor lamp, the lamp creates soft functional lighting. This lamp can be used for reading, work and leisure.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY *:

When developing this collection, special attention was paid to the shape of the LED cord so that it would make an oval. For this purpose, the weight of the cord and how it bends was taken into account. The task was also to make it affordable. For this reason, metal pipes were made collapsible, and a special cast metal element was created in the middle. The LED cord was made matte to make it look better and to be tactilely pleasing.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION **:

The light source in the floor lamp is a matte LED cord. Due to the fact that it is located at the top of the lamp, it can be used for accent lighting and for reading. It is created in the style of minimalism with a smooth oval shape of the cord. Therefore, it can be used in different interior styles. In terms of functionality, floor lamp can be used in different rooms: in the office, living room, bedroom and in public spaces.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT **:

The main task of the study was to find a new relevant form of floor lamp and in this form convey the idea of ​ ​ a lamp, which is inspired by an ancient craft - knitting. For this, hundreds of hand sketches were created. After the shape was determined, it was necessary to carefully simulate the lamp from all sides, since the LED cord can bend, it was very important that it looked good from any angle.

When developing the lamp, various ancient crafts were studied, since the idea of ​ ​ the project was to combine the ancient craft with current lighting technologies, and it so happened that when studying knitting, an association with an LED cord arose. Thanks to this, the basis of the idea was born, which began to develop. And in the process of creating sketches, a new unique shape of the floor lamp appeared.
