From traditional rope-maker to high-tech innovator
More than 140 years ago, Wilhelm Benjamin Reutlinger I – scion of an old-established rope-making family based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany – ventured into the industrial production and processing of hemp and cable.
In 1987, graduate engineer Wolf Reutlinger took over management
of the tradition-steeped company and initiated a comprehensive innovation process that made the business fit for the future and opened up new fields of application. REUTLINGER® today ranks among the world’s leading suppliers of cable suspension systems.
Thanks to ever-expanding product range, it took only a few years until REUTLINGER® had made a name for itself within the global lighting industry.
Our client base today includes manufacturers of high-quality lighting systems and many other areas and industries, such as automotive, building services engineering, interior construction & design, thermoacoustic engineering, shopfitting, galleries, museums, trade fair & exhibition design as well as event technology.
Drawing on Wolf Reutlinger’s ingenious flagship innovation, a holder that ist ready to install and ready to install and adjust without tools, REUTLINGER today offers a broad range of suspension and tensioning systems for luminaires and many other objects.
Saving Space
REUTLINGER suspension and tensioning systems allow objects to be hung from any point on the ceiling or wall and also in the middle of the room – in an elegant and space-saving manner.
Saving Time
The holders can be quickly installed and continuously adjusted without the use of tools, and ready-to-fit customised sets contribute to further shortening installation times. This allows even large-scale installation work to be accomplished in a trice.
Safety first – also with heavy loads
REUTLINGER suspension systems are made for “firm engagement” by design. Their reliability is ensured by a smart self-locking mechanism installed inside the holder’s body, whose special architecture is based on a well-balanced and thus effective principle: the heavier the load, the greater the clamping force applied to the cable. Each suspension can hold working loads of up to 480 kg!
So much more than meets the eye …
Holders by REUTLINGER feature a sophisticated technological design and an unobtrusive visual appearance. Their “smart heart” works discreetly, thus allowing luminaires, exhibits or other objects to be the only stars in the limelight
TÜV/GS & DGUV TEST – double-tested & double-certified
REUTLINGER is one of the world‘s first manufacturers of cable suspension systems to have obtained TÜV/GS certification for almost every product line. REUTLINGER’s black-finished holders Type 50, 66 and 80 , which are mainly used in stage and event technology environments, are even covered by a DGUV Test certificate approving them for use in environments subject to the German accident prevention regulation “DGUV Vorschrift 17 (formerly“BGV C1”).
The “DGUV Test” certificate authorises the holders for use within the scope of the accident prevention regulations applicable to event and production facilities for stage presentations. The “DGUV Test” certificate is awarded only after the holders have undergone extensive testing for all possible load conditions, including any reasonably foreseeable misuse.
