LDA-LumiDISP Luminance Analyser is a luminance camera based on mirrorless digital camera, capable of precise luminance measurement and analysis. We add powerful software and hardware extension on digital mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera and now you can use it to make a valuable measurement of photometric luminance. And perform UGR analysis, street lighting analysis, light pollution and much more with this "digital human eye".

Measurement of luminance belongs to basic tasks of photometry and its primary issue stands in evaluation of lightning quality. Luminance analyser LumiDISP – LDA offers functions that improve common photometric measurement to real analysis. With this device you are able to measure and evaluate almost every lightning system on the basis of luminance distribution measurement.

The core of the device is specially calibrated digital camera (NIST traceable), one-eye digital reflex camera. This is a high – quality and precisely manufactured instrument at reasonable price that provides sufficiently accurate data for other processing. The device supports full software control with the connection cable, so it can be operated remotely from PC. Camera can be set up with different lenses and additional filters. We offer three lenses: FishEye lens for wide angle measurement necessary for UGR evaluation, 40 mm focal length lens (similar to human field of view) for basic measurement and 135 mm lens for measurement details in the distance – excellent for road lighting analysis. The device is supplied in durable waterproofed case with all required equipment that is commonly needed in practice including extra accumulator. The device is therefore easily portable and everything is safely kept in compact package.

LumiDISP software is exclusively developed for this type of device. In the luminance map there can be performed different calculations and statistics, such as luminance cuts, histograms, contrast evaluations, measuring of angle distances. There can be created user defined appearance of software for different applications that includes user defined control elements, which eliminate mistakes and increase productivity of work.

Primarily the device measures luminance distribution. The analyser can be used in whole spectra of tasks in lighting technics and other fields. While with luminance meter it is possible to measure only one value in determined point of view, with the luminance analyser you can calculate luminance for each point of view in matter of seconds. Our software LumiDISP means Luminance DIStribution Processing. The software is designed to work on Windows platform. If you have your screen wide enough, you can add toolbars for maximum productivity. Full set of LDA contains three lenses, digital camera body, filters for V(λ) correction, battery charger, second backup battery pack, flashcard reader, software on CD, printed guide, calibration certificate and some cables to connect. What you should buy externally is proper tripod and extension USB 2.0 active cable. When manufactured, each instrument receives its calibration database and undergoes overall testing when being handed over. The device has traceability to NIST. We also carry out regular calibrations on instruments already manufactured including software updates.

Properly designed lighting has to ensure sufficient visibility of pedestrians not only on crosswalk, but also in its close neighbourhood. Luminance analysis is in this case generational move in evaluation of lighting, because we can objectively review the visibility of pedestrians at current lighting, but also there can be evaluated the influence of reflectors of coming and oncoming vehicle. Monitored parameters are especially the contrasts of pedestrians and lighted road. They have to be sufficient, so the driver could them in safe time certainly differentiate.
