Globally Connected: Around 2,000 Exhibitors at Light + Building 2026

25 Feb 2026

In a market environment undergoing transformation and demanding new answers, the industry’s focus is turning to the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology. From 8 to 13 March, Frankfurt will once again become a meeting place for innovation. At the heart of the event are around 2,000 national and international exhibitors demonstrating how technology, design and intelligent connectivity are evolving into holistic solutions. Numerous market leaders will be present, providing fresh impetus for lighting, building automation, electrical engineering and security technology.

From 8 to 13 March, Light + Building invites the entire lighting and building services technology sector to Frankfurt. Around 2,000 exhibitors are taking part this year, including major key players, first-time exhibitors and start-ups. International exhibitors account for 75 per cent. In addition to Germany, the most strongly represented exhibiting nations are China, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Austria and the United Kingdom. “We are entering the countdown to Light + Building with great energy and are delighted by the strong participation of renowned market leaders as well as new exhibitors and start-ups. The international presence and the high level of registrations despite challenging market conditions underline the relevance of the trade fair. Light + Building is the place where the industry’s key needs become visible – from the interplay of energy-efficient technology, digital connectivity and lighting in all its facets to solutions addressing high construction and energy costs, skills shortages and renovation pressures. Current challenges are addressed here while forward-looking impulses are set,” says Steffen Larbig, Director Brand Management for Light + Building.
