NETx Multi Protocol Server

NETx Multi Protocol Server

NETxAutomation Software GmbH

Description

The NETx Multi Protocol Server, is an OPC DA and OPC UA server as well as a BACnet/IP server. Furthermore, various web services and IoT interfaces like oBIX and MQTT are provided too. Therefore connecting our NETx Multi Protocol Server to third-party OPC, BACnet/IP or web service clients is easy to achieve.

In addition, application-specific interfaces to hotel management (Fidelio/Opera, Protel, Infor, charPMS, RMS Cloud, VHP) and access control systems (VingCard, Kaba, Salto) are available too.

The NETx Multi Protocol Server uses the same server core as the NETx BMS Platform. This means that the configuration and management of the different interfaces is the same as within the NETx BMS Platform.

In comparison with the NETx BMS Platform, the NETx MP Server does not support BMS functions such as Alarm management, scheduler, trending, reporting and visualization. Also, our extensions like NETx LaMPS and NETx Shutter Control are not available.

However, the upgrade from the NETx MP Server to the NETx BMS Platform is possible easily.

The NETx MP Server consist of:

  • MP Server Studio – a user interface for configuring and maintaining the data points
  • MP Server - main component which communicates with devices, stores and processes the data point values and provides the building management functions
  • XLogic editor - Windows based software is used to create logic for the Core Server using graphical programming.

Functions

Multi-protocol gateway - bidirectionally exchange of data and information between different protocols and technologies

Logic engine – enables to read and write data points, perform mathematical operations and calculations, send notifications like emails or messages via social media and much more.

NETx Hotelsolution

The NETx BMS Platform with all its possibilities and extensions presents a perfect solution for hotels. Control and visualization in one product, as well as the ability to combine data from different systems (such as hotel management and door lock systems) distinguish the NETx BMS Platform from other hotel solutions. Therefore, respectable potential savings can be realized. Using the check in/check out information from the hotel management system the HVAC system of a hotel room can be controlled. In order to provide guests with only the best service, "mySmartSuite" as a BYOD extension of the NETx BMS Platform makes the stay even more comfortable and easier. It enables the control and visualization of light, temperature, blinds, etc. on the smartphone or tablet.

Interfaces to Hotel management systems:

  • Oracle Fidelio/Opera

° Guest In/Out/GuestDataChange with room change
° Guest Message handling online/on request
° Room Equipment/Room maid status/Do not Disturb

  • Infor - Infor Hospitality Management Solution (HMS ™) - cloud-based hotel management system
  • Protel - Additionally to the Fidelio/Opera interface a Protel interface is available for the NETx BMS Platform. This interface allows an exchange of information between the Server and Protel
  • RMS Cloud
  • charPMS
  • VHP

Door lock systems:

  • VingCard - the NETx BMS Platform can connect to the VisiOnline Server Software. The following events can be retrieved: Guest entrance (including the card number), staff entrance, inside open, deadbolt thrown, deadbolt released.
  • Kaba - Kaba door locks are using a wireless communication protocol which is based on ZigBee. The events are centrally collected by the Kaba server software and sent via push notification to third-party software.
  • Salto - Salto door locks are using a wireless communication protocol which is based on ZigBee. The events are centrally collected by the Salto server software and sent via push notification to third-party software.
