OUVA is a versatile outdoor luminaire that responds to a wide range of requirements for artificial lighting in open-air settings.
Whether during a game of table tennis after sunset, at a picnic on a mild June evening in the park, or for illuminating a private terrace, OUVA’s glare-free light creates an atmospheric ambience.
A magnetic mechanism allows the light source to be separated from the shade. As a result, OUVA can be used both as a pendant and as a table luminaire. It is easy to transport and can be dimmed and adjusted in colour temperature as required.
Noëlle Loke and Johanna Printz are product designers in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree in Product Design at Universität der Künste Berlin. Within this context, they developed their lamp OUVA, which emerged from their shared design philosophy. Observation, analysis, and interpretation of human habits within a social context form the foundation of their design practice. The insights they gain from this process are translated into objects that question the status quo and open up new possibilities for action on both a social and sustainable level.
